Since 2014, he has been a professor of economics and finance at FGV EPGE. He holds a PhD in Economics. His academic contributions include publications in leading journals such as the International Economic Review, Journal of International Economics, and Economic Theory, among others. He also has extensive executive experience in both the public and private sectors, as well as in different countries. He served as Director of Institutional Relations, Strategy, and Sustainability at Petrobras; Chairman of the Board of Directors of IBP, Transpetro, and TBG (GASBOL); and was a board member of OGCI-CI, a global investment fund based in London. Previously, he structured and led the Strategic Planning and Budget Department at Parnaíba Gás Natural (now Eneva). At Vale International, he worked as Finance and Investor Relations Manager. Based in Switzerland, he carried out financial operations in multiple currencies and represented the mining company in relations with European and North American investors. He is also the co-author of SAMBA, a general equilibrium economic model adopted by the Monetary Policy Committee of the Central Bank of Brazil.
