Notify me The Introduction to Mathematical Analysis course is an elective course within the EPGE Graduate Program. 1. Target Audience: The course is intended for EPGE students and students from other Higher Education Institutions who are interested in applying for a position in the Direct Doctorate Program in Economics at EPGE, using approval in the Introduction to Mathematical Analysis Course as an entry method. Candidates should be expected to complete their undergraduate studies by the end of the course year or should have graduated within the last three years. The considered undergraduate courses are those in Economics or technically related areas (such as Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics). Alternatively to this entry method, candidates may also opt for the traditional selection process of the EPGE Doctoral Program called "External Selection." Both entry methods have their rules described in the Selection Process Notice. 2. Course Objective: The Introduction to Mathematical Analysis course aims to present, in an introductory manner, topics in real analysis that are useful for those wishing to pursue a doctoral degree in economics at EPGE, in a relatively rigorous way, exploring and developing students' mathematical intuition. The course also aims to develop students' mathematical argumentation and writing skills. Access the Course Syllabus. 3. Access to the Direct Doctorate at EPGE through the Introduction to Mathematical Analysis course: To gain entry into the Direct Doctorate Program in Economics at EPGE, students must achieve a grade of 8 (eight) or higher in the Introduction to Mathematical Analysis course. Ao final do curso, os alunos serão submetidos a uma avaliação cuja nota representará a média final do curso. 4. Credits: The course credits can be applied to the Direct Doctorate at EPGE once the student is accepted into this program. 5.
