Event
EPGE is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year! Throughout our history, we have maintained our commitment to excellence in education and research, which has given us academic leadership in Latin America. EPGE always seeks to provide a dynamic environment rich in debates, in terms of both academia and public policy.
In these 60 years, many EPGE professors and graduates have helped Brazil tackle major economic challenges by engaging in policy formulation and private sector development.
To celebrate this milestone, we are holding a workshop on October 21 and 22. The first day will feature talks by some of our graduate alumni with outstanding academic careers, who have done cutting-edge research. The second day will involve roundtables with alumni who have prominent roles in economic policy making. The subjects explored will be “Brazilian Growth Challenges”, “ESG and Infrastructure” and “Fiscal Policy Challenges in Brazil”.
We will also have the honor of having special talks by the 2014 Economics Nobel Prize winner, Jean Tirole (Toulouse School of Economics), and John Cohrane (Hoover Institution, Stanford University).
At the end of the second day, we will have a conversation between alumni. It will be an excellence opportunity to meet more members of EPGE’s large community and to catch up with old friends! Congratulations to our school!
