He holds a Master's (2012-2014) and PhD (2014-2018) in Economics from the Graduate School of Economics at Fundação Getúlio Vargas (EPGE-FGV), and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the Federal University of Ceará (2007-2011). During his PhD he spent one year (2016/2017) in the Visiting Student Research Collaborator-VSRC program at Princeton University and in the period 2018-2020 he worked as a Senior Research Professional at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. His research focuses on the intersections of Labor Economics, Applied Microeconomics, Development Economics and Political Economy.
