Graduated in Mathematics from the State University of Montes Claros (formerly Fundação Norte Mineira de Ensino Superior), master's degree in Mathematics from the Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics, IMPA and PhD in Mathematics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is currently a professor at Fundação Getulio Vargas-RJ and a retired professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She has extensive experience in the area of Mathematics Teaching, Higher level, also working in Post-Graduation, in the area of Partial Differential Equations. She participated for several years in the Seminars on Partial Differential Equations at IM-UFRJ.
