He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from the Institute of Economics / UFRJ (1995), a master's degree in economics from the Institute of Economics / UFRJ (2000) and a doctorate in economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2006). He is a researcher at the Institute of Applied Economic Research since 1998. He has experience in Economics, with emphasis on Institutions and Development.
