Bev Dahlby is a Distinguished Fellow at the School of Public Policy at the University of Calgary, attended St. Peter’s College, the University of Saskatchewan, Queen’s University and the London School of Economics. He is also the Director of Research, as well as the Director of the School's Fiscal and Economic Growth program. Dr. Dahlby has published extensively on tax policy and fiscal federalism.
Bev served as a policy advisor to the federal and provincial governments. He was a member of the Jenkins Panel on federal research and development support. In 2016, Bev chaired the British Columbia Commission on Tax Competitiveness. In May 2019, he was appointed to the MacKinnon Panel to review the finances of the Alberta government. His international experience includes tax reform advisory work for the IMF in Malawi, for the Thailand Research Institute for Development and for the World Bank in Brazil and Mexico.
