He holds a law degree from the Octávio Bastos Teaching Foundation (1997), a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from the University of Illinois (2005), a Doctor of the Science of Law (JSD) from the University of Illinois (2009). Currently, he is a research professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation and coordinator of the Center for Research in Law and Economics of the Getulio Vargas Foundation. He is the representative of CPDE / FGV Direito Rio at the Council of Economic and Social Analysis of the State of Rio de Janeiro.
