André is Director of Education and Management of the Undergraduation Program at FGV EPGE. He holds a degree in economics from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1989), a master's degree in economics from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1993) and a Ph.D. in Economic History from University of London (1999). He is currently an assistant professor at the FGV EPGE. He has experience in the area of Economics, with emphasis on macroeconomic history of Brazil. He works mainly in the following subjects: economic development in historical perspective; history of commercial policy, financial and monetary history.
