Rubens Penha Cysne is elected member of the Brazilian Academy of Education

The professor of the EPGE Brazilian School of Economics and Finance (FGV EPGE) Rubens Penha Cysne was elected, on 3 June, a member of the Brazilian Academy of Education (ABE). Professor Rubens will occupy the Chair No. 3, which formerly belonged to the academic João Paulo do Valle Mendes. The election was announced by the president of the institution, Carlos Alberto Serpa de Oliveira. The date of his inauguration has not yet been marked.

Rubens Penha Cysne is also a member of the Technical Council of the National Confederation of Commerce (CNC), the Economy Council of FIRJAN, the Economics Council of the Rio de Janeiro Trade Association and the Economics Council of the National Agricultural Society (SNA). Internationally, he has papers published in the following economics journals: Review of Economics and Statistics; Journal of Money, Credit and Banking; Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control; Macroeconomic Dynamics, Journal of Banking and Finance; Journal of Development Economics, Journal of Macroeconomics; Economics Letters and International Journal of Finance and Economics.
