FGV EPGE undergraduate student receives interchange program scholarship to study in Spain

On 28 August, a videoconference took place at FGV Projetos in order to present the results of the selection of students for the Iberoamerica Santander Universities Scholarship Program 2013. FGV Schools of both Rio de Janeiro (FGV EPGE, EBAPE and Direito Rio) and São Paulo (Direito GV, EESP and EAESP), were represented at the meeting.

The Iberoamerica Santander Universities Scholarship Program is sponsored by Santander, which has encouraged and promoted exchange of undergraduate students among Iberoamerican universities since 2011. The students receive a scholarship in the equivalent amount to Eur 3,000, which allows them to study in one of the universities enrolled in the program for one semester.

In the selection process at FGV, each School selected a candidate to receive one of the 10 available scholarships, as well as an additional candidate to compete for one of the two remaining scholarships. The decision was reached by consensus, after evaluation of all candidates, by means of predetermined criteria, by all coordinators and representatives of each School.

The candidate selected by FGV EPGE – Escola Brasileira de Economia e Finanças was Leonardo Baims Machado da Costa, of the 6th term, who will study in Spain during the second semester of 2014.

Besides Spain, students could choose to study in one of the following countries which participate in the Program: Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Puerto Rico and Uruguay.
