Vinícius Almeida, undergraduate student from FGV EPGE economics course, was selected to join the 2014 Santander Top China Program. The program offered 120 scholarships among 24 universities, and received a total of 4.442 entries from all over Brazil.
The Santander TOP CHINA program was launched in 2009 and it is a pioneer initiative from Santander Universidades aimed at fostering exchanges between Brazil and China to advance debates on global topics so as to improve quality of life in urban environments in the future. The program, which is completely financed by Santander, is already in its sixth edition and, this year, will last for three weeks. The awarded students and teachers will visit Peking University and Shanghai Jiao Tong, where they will take part in academic courses taught in English and will have the opportunity to learn more about Chinese culture. Besides our student Vinícius Almeida, Professor Diego Faveri Pereira Lima, from EBAPE, and the students Elisa Nesi Rocha (CPDOC), Pedro Henrique Lourenço da Costa (Direito Rio) and Waldo Almeida Ramalho (Direito Rio) were also chosen.
