With the coordination of FGV´s Academic Directory of Economics (DAE), on November 16th, the lecture "The Brazilian Economy Perspectives" was presented by the PhD from EPGE and current Director of Tendências Consultoria Integrada, Gustavo Loyola. He was the chair of Central Bank in two different periods (1992-1993 and 1995-1997), being responsible for the beginning of the adjustment program of the banks to a low inflation environment The event had the presence of undergraduate students, students from other directories of academic centers of excellence based in Rio and teachers.
Invited by the Academic Directory, the Director of EPGE Professor Rubens Penha Cysne introduced the guest and took part of the table. The Professor took the opportunity to praise the initiative of the DAE in promoting discussions with plurality and accessibility to all students. Besides Gustavo Loyola, the Academic Deputy Director of FGV EPGE, Luis Braido and the President of Academic Directory of Economics, DAE, Caio Lakiss composed the table. The Deputy Director of Education, Professor André Villela and the member of the academic field of DAE, Beatriz Rosa Campos, were also present.
The lecture addressed current issues on the national scene and its political and economic developments. In the end, the students participated with questions highlighting the most important issues raised by Gustavo Loyola.
