On August 29, FGV EPGE – Escola Brasileira de Economia e Finanças was visited by the Economics Officer of the U.S. Consulate General in Rio de Janeiro, Matthew R. Stokes. The diplomat announced the INOVAR Contest to the Schools of FGV.
On the occasion, representatives of EBAPE, CPDOC, DIREITO RIO, as well as representatives of the Professional Placement Section and of the Academic Board were present.
The contest, sponsored by the USA Embassy in Brazil, is intended for undergraduate and graduate students. The participants should set up teams of two to four students plus a teacher, in order to produce an article and a video on the impact of innovation and IPR (intellectual property rights) in the economy.
The winners will go to Brasilia for the awards ceremony of the contest and win a trip to New York to attend the annual conference of Fordham Intellectual Property Rights, in April 2014.
