Aloisio Araújo takes office as new president of SAET

On 22 July, Professor Aloisio Araujo, of FGV/EPGE – Escola Brasileira de Economia e Finanças, took office as president of the Society for the Advancement of Economic Theory (SAET) – main world academic institution oriented exclusively to the advancement of the economic theory.
Thus, FGV/EPGE is once more recognized internationally for the quality of its research. FGV/EPGE also has, among its faculty members, three of the four Brazilian researchers nominated Fellow Members of the Econometric Society; along with Aloisio Araujo, professors Paulo Klinger Monteiro and Marcelo Moreira hold the title.
The ceremony took place at the Annual Conference of SAET, held in Paris, from 22 to 27 July 2013.
