EPGE promotes presentation with Oxford professor
The Getulio Vargas Foundation Graduate School of Economics received on days 11, 12 and 13 January the visit of Professor Anthony Venables. Venables is BP Professor of Economics at Oxford University and Director of the Oxford Centre for the Analysis of Resource Rich Economies (Oxcarre), also established at the University through a grant from British Petroleum.
The economist, considered one of the most important and creative in Europe, produced fundamental contributions in the fields of international trade, industrial organization, development and economic geography.
To welcome him Getulio Vargas Foundation prepared on the 12th January, an event at the Thompson Motta auditorium. At the opportunity the professor spoke to the guests about his work theme, which is guided by the analysis of economic issues effects in the natural resource rich economies such as Brazil.
Faculty members and directors of FGV, as well as guests from other companies and schools attended to the event.
